I am a writer and academic.

I currently work as Programme Director Acting and Performance at University of the Arts London, based at Wimbledon College of Arts — here, my job involves the management and strategic development of the Acting and Performance Programme. Prior to this, I was Senior Lecturer in Drama at the University of Exeter, where I worked from 2015-2022. I have also worked at Queen Mary University of London (2014-15), and at the University of Leeds (2009-2014).

My research interests include performance on and about council estates, representations of female desire, and street performance culture.

I write arts criticism, opinion pieces, autobiographical prose, fiction and poetry.
